Five Rise Locks Cafe is focused on providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction, we will do everything we can to meet your expectations. Since taking over the cafe in August 2011, we have undertaken a series of improvements which we are certain will benefit all customers visiting the famous 5 Rise Locks. It is now a family enterprise, Bingley born and bred, Marcus along with wife Ann

and daughters Katie & Olivia, are committed to raising the standards and improving the facilities on offer. Extended and more regular opening hours are already in place. All visitors are welcome as the cafe is also a canine friendly establishment. Baby changing facilities and wheel chair access are available. Credit/Debit card payments are accepted, minimum spend applies. With a variety of offerings to choose from, we're sure you'll be happy paying us a visit. A varied Menu is available to view on our website, including full English Breakfast as well as a range of lunch options which are complimented with a selection of Cakes/Tray Bakes, delicious Ice Cream, hot beverages and cold refreshments.

A great initiative to be involved in.

🚤 Water safety partnership in Bingley

Bingley Red Watch delivered a Water Responder training session for the team at Five Rise Locks Café, Bingley.

This training forms part of our service-wide RNLI Water Responder initiative, where our crews deliver basic water rescue awareness and throwline training to local businesses and partners who operate close to water, or have a water risk nearby.

The aim is simple: help more people know what to do in the critical minutes before emergency services arrive, and make life-saving equipment easier to access in our communities.

With the canal right on their doorstep, staff received practical guidance on:

⭕ Understanding the risks around the water

⭕ What to do in an emergency

⭕ How to safely deploy a throwline to help pull someone to safety

⭕ How to support a casualty showing signs of cold exposure

As part of the session, the café was also provided with a throwline and a window sticker so members of the public know it’s available.

A huge thanks to the team at Five Rise Locks Café for taking part - and to Bingley Red Watch for helping strengthen local water safety.
