🏍️⚠️ MOT CHANGES ARE COMING – HERE’S WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOUR BIKE
With changes coming to the MOT process, there’s an important update that motorcycle owners need to be aware of.
As part of the updated process, photographs will need to be submitted as part of the MOT record. This means that motorcycles presented for an MOT will need to be fitted with a road-legal numberplate.
We’ve always been careful to ensure the motorcycles we MOT meet the required legal standards, and we have never knowingly passed a motorcycle with an illegal numberplate.
However, we’re conscious that some motorcycles arrive with aftermarket or shortened numberplates fitted, and what may look perfectly normal can sometimes fall outside the legal requirements.
To avoid any issues when your bike comes in for its MOT, please make sure your motorcycle is fitted with a fully road-legal numberplate before bringing it to us.
If you’re unsure whether your current plate meets the requirements, speak to our team before your MOT and we’ll be happy to help. 👍
