🍷 Introducing the Plates by Oxalis Wine Club 🍷

We're delighted to invite you to the first of our monthly Wine Club afternoons at Plates by Oxalis.
Our first event will explore one of the world's most fascinating grape varieties: Pinot Noir.

Together we'll taste four different wines paired with some.light nibbles, discovering how climate, soil and winemaking techniques can create completely different expressions from the very same grape.

Expect an informal, interactive afternoon where you'll learn, compare and, most importantly, enjoy some fantastic wines. Whether you're new to wine or a seasoned enthusiast, everyone is welcome!

Our new tomato course has gone down well this week!

Isle of Wight tomatoes dressed in tomato ponzu and Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil fresh goats curd and a nasternium and smoked pancetta bavaroise.

Thank you again to everyone for the kind words and support every day, the team and I are really happy to see everyone enjoying what we are doing.

Two months ago Plates by Oxalis opened its doors for the first time.

Since then we’ve welcomed hundreds of guests, served countless dishes, learnt lessons daily, made mistakes, improved constantly and slowly started building the restaurant we’ve dreamed about for a long time.

Running an independent restaurant is never easy, but seeing returning guests, kind reviews and full dining rooms on a Saturday night genuinely means everything to us.

Thank you to everyone who has booked a table, shared a post, recommended us to friends or simply supported what we are trying to build here in Beverley.

We’re only just getting started.

To continue offering a small, seasonal reservation-led experience at Plates by Oxalis, we will now require card details for all future bookings.

No payment will be taken at the time of booking — card details will only be used in the event of a no-show or a late cancellation outside of our cancellation window.

As a small independent restaurant, every reservation directly affects staffing, preparation, and purchasing, and this change helps protect the business while still offering flexibility to our guests.

We truly appreciate everyone who continues to support what we are building here in Beverley.
