Full-Time Café Manager – Weekend Availability Required
Koi Café is looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Full-Time Café Manager to lead our team and help drive the continued growth and success of the business.
This is a varied role that requires strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a willingness to support all areas of the café operation, including covering kitchen duties when required. Weekend working is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the day-to-day operation of the café.
* Leading, motivating, and supporting the café team.
* Ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.
* Managing staff rotas, holidays, and shift cover.
* Covering kitchen staff annual leave and assisting in the kitchen when required.
* Placing orders with suppliers and managing stock levels.
* Monitoring food and beverage costs and reducing waste where possible.
* Cashing up and completing end-of-day financial procedures.
* Ensuring accurate record keeping and compliance documentation.
* Maintaining compliance with Environmental Health Officer (EHO) regulations and company standards.
* Conducting stock takes and managing inventory.
* Recruiting, training, and developing team members.
* Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally.
* Monitoring business performance and identifying opportunities for growth.
* Assisting with marketing initiatives, promotions, and events.
* Working closely with senior management to progress and develop the business.
* Ensuring the café is clean, organised, safe, and welcoming at all times.
* Maintaining health and safety, food hygiene, and allergen compliance standards.
* Supporting front-of-house and back-of-house operations whenever required.
Requirements
* Previous management experience within hospitality, catering, or a café environment.
* Must be available to work weekends.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
* Experience with stock control, ordering, and cash handling.
* Good understanding of food hygiene, health and safety, and EHO requirements.
* Ability to work under pressure and lead by example.
* A proactive approach with a focus on improving and growing the business.
* Flexible and willing to assist in all areas of the operation, including kitchen duties when required.
* Reliable, professional, and highly motivated.
