ll appointed bar with beamed ceilings and open log fire, and has a stunning, unspoiled view of the village green and cricket square. It dates back to the early 17th Century when it was a blacksmiths shop with stabling and sold ale! It is alleged that the trial of the 'Akebar murderer' (the murder stone stands at the roadside at Akebar) was held in the upstairs billiard room, the murderer being found guilty and later hanged in York.

Monday Crakehall v Fearby in the lower dales quoits league . First against third in our last game of the season . Currently top of the league but this is a big one . Starts 7pm

Tuesday - Meeting of Crakehall Boro supporters club with Doncaster v Boro in the league cup at 7.30pm

Wednesday - The Bay Horse pool team are away to the Nags Head Northallerton . They need three points to guarantee top stop and promotion .
Practice at the pub prior to setting off and hopefully return to victory party .

Thursday Current Bedale and district Thursday night Darts champions Crakehall B take on the previous year champions Crakehall A in a pre season friendly . Darts and dominoes starts at 7.30 pm

Thursday night is games night . All welcome for chess. , dominoes, darts and pool starts 6.30 pm

Saturday Crakehall. Cricket club at home in the Nidderdale league . Starts at 1.30 pm . After two promotions the team have consolidated in this league .

Monday Crakehall quoits take on Fearby in our final game of the season
Starts at 7pm . Both teams in the top three fighting for the title.

Can we advise that The Bay Horse , Crakehall will not be open until 5pm today . Kitchen will be open this evening but only serving fish and chips not the full menu .

Crakehall bay horse won 5-4 at quoits
And the pool team also victorious winning 8-1
Cricket team came a close second.
Kevin Carrick has won 240 carrots on the draw.
