Have your say on EHE and EOTIS support

FACT Bucks is inviting families and young people to share their experiences of Elective Home Education (EHE) and Education Other Than In School (EOTIS) through a series of listening workshops. These sessions are a chance to:

✅ Share what’s working (and what’s not)
✅ Help shape future services and support
✅ Keep children and families’ voices at the centre of future work

With both in-person sessions and online options, it’s easy to get involved. Sessions are informal, supportive, and focused on listening, no assessments or case discussions.

This week is Child Accident Prevention Week 2026 ⭐

Under‑5s learn by exploring! The Child Accident Prevention Trust (CAPT) offers free, practical resources to help families prevent the most common and serious accidents at home, including burns, button batteries, choking, drowning, falls, fire safety, poisoning and more.

Top Safety Tips for Little Ones:
🔥 Keep hot drinks and pans out of reach. Hot drink burns are a major cause of injury.
🔋 Store button batteries safely and check toys/remotes. Swallowing one can cause life‑threatening harm.
🍇 Prevent choking by cutting food into small pieces and staying close while they eat.
💧 Stay within arm’s reach around water. Drowning happens silently and quickly.
🪜 Secure windows and use blind‑cord safety to reduce risks of falls and strangulation.
🧴 Store cleaning products and laundry capsules out of sight and reach to prevent poisoning.

CAPT has lots of information and resources on their website 👉 https://capt.org.uk/child-safety-advice/
