Progress Report

We really can’t wait to get going at The Mayflower at Austerfield

The new Coffee Shop at the rear of the premises is nearing completion. Just awaiting some essentials…… a coffee machine for one!
(Photos below)

The pub has been fully decorated and we are just fitting new lighting to brighten the place up in every area.

We are expecting some equipment to be able to make sure we can send items from our new menu out of the kitchen in good order.

And cellar works will be completed this week with the main thing for this fine pub, lots and lots of b**r, being delivered too.

We cannot wait to get you in to meet the new team and to see the changes we have made first hand.

A further post in due course.

Thanks for all the kind wishes and messages of support from our regulars - all friends to us at The Classic Cafe at Yorkshire Caravans and to locals in Austerfield who we have been speaking to over the last few weeks. We cannot wait!

This is an announcement for all our fantastic customers old and new.

We are very very excited to reveal that we are taking over the reigns at The Mayflower in Austerfield.

We hope that with our new offering and our great team, we can be somewhere the local community can continue to use and enjoy!

The super Harper Inns Group completed their last full day yesterday and we are now in the process of getting it ready to reopen.

We will be carrying out some exciting changes including creating a fantastic new Coffee Shop at the rear of the premises to be open seven days a week, complementing our existing venue at the great Yorkshire Caravans.

When we open don’t forget to come and check out our scrumptious Yorkshire Deli counter.

The bar is having a refresh too and hopefully we will be ready to be open in just over a week or so’s time.

We will be doing our trademark coffee shop menu and fantastic pub menus too including, of course, an amazing Sunday Roast - all at reasonable prices.

Please keep your eyes open for more information and look out for updates and a new page for The Mayflower.

A massive thanks to the team at Harper Inns for their fantastic professional handover and for all their help throughout the process.

Well, so far so good. We have, hopefully, acquired the services of a fantastic new Chef but we still have a full time position available for another Chef/Cook at our Coffee Shop - The Classic Café in Bawtry.

If you want a full time job with good pay, working with a great team in an exceptionally busy kitchen please give me a shout.

Many thanks.

The Classic Café Bawtry. Experience essential. These aren’t roles for the faint hearted - we are extremely busy and everyone has to work at a very good pace to try and get our freshly made food out as quickly as possible.
