Road Closure…

Just a quick heads up if you’re planning to visit us soon.

The road is currently closed with no vehicle access from Southstoke or Midford (limited pedestrian access only).

You can still reach us as normal via Wellow, Dunkerton and Odd Down, so we’re very much open and look forward to welcoming you.

We’ll continue to keep you updated as the works progress and let you know of any changes as soon as we can.

Our annual Boules Tournament is all about bringing people together for a brilliant day at The Wheatsheaf.

Gather a team of three and enjoy a full day of friendly competition, delicious food and live music in our gardens.

Your team entry (£240) includes:
• Tournament entry
• Relaxed lunch buffet
• Two-course dinner from 5pm
• A bottle of wine to share

No experience is needed—just bring your own boules and enjoy the day.

🏆 Prizes for our winners and runners-up.

Not taking part? You’re still very welcome to join us. The Field Kitchen will be open from 12pm–2.30pm, the bar will be serving all day, and there’ll be live music to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

From laid-back acoustic melodies to chilled saxophone sessions and an indie rock finale, we’ve got the soundtrack to your summer afternoon covered.

🎤 Isobel Holly – bringing beautiful acoustic vocals to open the day.

🎷 Liv Brewin – setting the mood with smooth saxophone and relaxed summer Ibiza vibes.

🎸 Robbie and the Nuts – closing WheatFest with an energetic live performance to round off our 20th anniversary celebrations.

Alongside the music, expect street food, a rosé bar, Purbeck ice cream, a bouncy castle, face painting, a glitter bar and plenty of family fun in our beautiful terraced garden.
