The pub in South Stoke village near Bath was closed and left empty four years ago; now the owner has agreed to sell; our community-based company has exchanged contracts with the owner with completion due in September 2016, subject to a successful fundraising campaign; we need to raise £525,000 to buy the pub and then some more for refurbishment and plan to raise the money through selling shares to the people of South Stoke, Bath and beyond.

Lace up your walking boots – our next Guided Walk is this Thursday! 🚶🌿

Meet us outside in the car park at 10:30am, ready to set off for a lovely stroll through the countryside.

Everyone is welcome, children and dogs included! Please bear in mind the walk will last a couple of hours, so make sure you come prepared with suitable footwear, plenty of water, and anything else you might need.

Afterwards, we’ll be back at The Packhorse for a well-deserved drink, and if you fancy it, why not stay for some lunch? 🍻🍽️

We’re welcoming back one of our favourites, Rusty Rhythm Syndicate, this Sunday 23rd August from 3pm! 🎻

Expect their brilliant mix of bluegrass… and things that are definitely not bluegrass, but somehow sound fantastic in a bluegrass style. 🤠🎶

Less than 2 weeks until our annual End of Summer Party at The Packhorse — and what better way to round off what’s been a pretty memorable summer, then with a long weekend full of live music at The Packhorse?

Join us on Sunday 30th August for an afternoon and evening of brilliant live music, good food, cold drinks and all the best end-of-summer vibes. 🎶🍻
