Thank you to everyone who visited us on Friday it was great to be back !
This week we are excited to be joined by PC Kyle WILKINS and PCSO Kane LUCAS from the Basingstoke Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team who be hosting a bike marking event 🚲 🔒
This is a completely free event that benefits from funding by Basingstoke and Deane council community safety team who have purchased a supply of locks which will be given out for free.
Please come along with your bike & family bikes to benefit from this free service.
Spread the word, tell you neighbours and friends the more bikes we can register the better for our community 😃
🚲 Free Bike Security and Registration Event
With the darker evenings approaching, we inevitably see an increase in non-dwelling burglaries across the area. Unfortunately, bicycles are often high on a thief's target list.
To help protect our community and reduce bike theft, we are inviting residents to meet their local Basingstoke Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team. Officers will be available to record and register your bicycle on the national BikeRegister database.
Registering your bike significantly increases the chances of it being returned to you if it is ever stolen and later recovered. Each year, police forces across the UK recover thousands of bicycles, but many cannot be reunited with their owners because they are not registered.
By taking a few minutes to register your bike, you can help ensure that doesn't happen to you.
🔒 Free Bike Locks Available
Thanks to the support of our colleagues from the Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council Community Safety Team, we are also able to provide free bike locks to residents who register their bicycles, subject to availability.
