And last night, Tom & Jorden absolutely shone. 💙

They held the fort, looked after our guests beautifully and then we woke up to this wonderful review.

I really couldn’t be prouder of them both.

“Great customer service from people who genuinely care about their job and reputation…”

That line means such a lot — because that is exactly what we have always tried to achieve at The Roost. Good, honest food, a warm welcome and genuinely caring about the people who walk through our door.

Well done boys — you absolutely smashed it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The Roost is in safe hands ❤️

It’s hard to believe we’re now in our final few days at The Roost…

And as our chapter comes to an end, there is one thing that makes leaving just that little bit easier — knowing that this very special place is being left in such safe hands.

What started as a Sunday afternoon chat across the bar with Kevin somehow turned into many more chats, plenty of laughter and, along the way, a lovely friendship.

So we genuinely couldn’t be more thrilled that Kev is the one taking over the reins at The Roost.

As a highly regarded local publican with over 20 years’ experience, Kev certainly knows a thing or two about running a great pub — but more importantly to us, he understands that places like The Roost are about so much more than what happens behind the bar.

We know how quickly this little place gets under your skin. We know how special its people are, how supportive this community is and just how much love there is for our little hidden gem on Rock Road.

And we know that Kevin will love The Roost and its people every bit as much as we have.

From Monday 17th August, it’s over to Kev and his team — and there are exciting times ahead, including The Roost opening 7 days a week.

We hope you’ll give Kev the same incredible welcome, friendship and support that you gave us three years ago.

Kevin — we wish you every happiness and success as you begin your own Roost chapter. Look after this special little place… although somehow, we already know you will. ❤️🐓

As for us… we’re not quite done yet!

We still have our final few days to enjoy, a few more drinks to pour, plenty more laughs to have and memories still to make before we finally hand over those keys.

Here’s to new beginnings, old friendships and the next chapter of The Roost. 🥂

Well… what a weekend that was !

Our hearts are very full today. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us — friends old and new, familiar faces and some of the wonderful people who have been part of our Roost story over the last three years.

There was laughter, dancing, hugs, a few glasses raised 🥂 and so many lovely memories made.

We really did have THE best time !

This weekend is simply our way of saying THANK YOU 🙏 #

We’d absolutely love to see as many friends, old and new, past and present, as possible, to help us celebrate what promises to be a truly special weekend.

🎸 Friday Night
Brother Steve returns to the garden for Rocking the Roost from 8.30pm. If you’d like to join us for dinner before the music starts, we have just a few tables remaining.

🕺 Saturday Night – from 7.00pm
Stubbsy Disco Night is back, and we’re dancing the night away! Expect great music, plenty of laughs and a fantastic atmosphere as we celebrate together.

Jordan’s now legendary Curry Buffet will also be available on the evening.

Whether you’ve been with us from day one, discovered us recently, stayed in our rooms, joined us for Sunday lunch, danced in the garden, celebrated a special occasion or simply popped in for a pint, we’d love to see you.

Let’s fill The Roost with laughter, music, dancing and plenty of memories as we celebrate the most wonderful three years.
