That’s year one wrapped, what a rollercoaster….. HUGE thank you to all my amazing customers and suppliers without you guys in my corner I’m not sure we’d still be going. The delays, mishaps, disasters, parking charges, and the bloody rain 😫 have all tested my resolve but despite all the setbacks I’ve not once considered chucking the towel in, me and Larry absolutely love doing this 🫶🏻 getting to know you all has been the best, sharing your good news and the bad news with you has been a honour. I’m really looking forward to year two! We’ve started the groundwork to grow the business and I really hope you all continue to support us on our lil journey. We’ve already recruited and are looking at additional sites that might work for us. It’s mad little old me employing people and having a real life business, I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve had and so bloody proud of myself for doing it by myself. I’m determined to show how a small business can be ethical, profitable, green, and most importantly to me share the success with those who help day to day. That’s my Oscar speech, maybe a bit much but that’s me 😇 one final point, we sold nearly 3400 shortbreads this year that’s roughly 80kg!!!!! 🐽😂

A by-election is set to take place in the Baruc ward on the Vale of Glamorgan Council, after Mark Hooper was elected to the Senedd back in May.

Still on the lookout for the right people to grow Larrys, I’d like to find someone to pick up Sundays for me. Would suit someone with a bit of experience as it can get pretty busy, although if you’re the right fit we’ll make it work! It would be a longer day 8-6 as Sunday is a deeper clean day. We will always pay the real living wage and you get to keep 100% of the tips you earn. Also formulating an additional bonus structure to share any significant increases in trade. Next week we are 1!!! Time flies…. On the 18th we’ll be doing a special discount for the day come down and celebrate with us 🫶🏻. We were booked into the Hare & Hounds on Thursday but unfortunately because of the fire we need another venue… do you have a restaurant or know a restaurant who would be able to cater for me and Larry on Thursday?so a fancy meal and bottle of something nice for me and a bowl of something delicious for Larry! Obviously I’d pay for 2 covers. Ideally Cowbridge or Cardiff ❤️

Monday - Sunday 9-4 that’s it. Might be some teething problems over next few weeks getting used to opening every day but yeah a coffee shop in Barry open on a Monday!!! OH MY CHRIST MICK

Hey Vale of Glamorgan Council would you be able to provide an update regarding the parking charges at the knap and penarth. They are currently suspended, great and having a positive effect on business and customers. The last I’ve seen was at the meeting last year they are being reviewed. Would like some further information on when a longer term decision will be made as this materially effects my long term planning for the business. Many thanks.

Sorry guys combo of rain (I can deal with) and wind 40mph which is nearing my safe limit means no coffee today. Sofa and a few hours learning how to use QuickBooks properly on the agenda…. Back at it Friday
