Hello all,

We had a horrible start this morning, discovering our cafe had been broken into.

We are the third cafe on Holton road that has been broken into in the past couple of months, on top of the string of 'shot out' windows from a delinquent with an air rifle (that one cost us £500+ alone).

They took our takings, contents of our till, our change bag, but worst of all they took the staff's tip jar which the staff had been saving for their families for Christmas.

Running a hospitality business at the moment is madness. Even with our place being consistently busy and in an excellent spot on the high street the cost of food/utility/various taxes/staff/pensions etc is making it almost impossible to keep our heads above water.

It has meant that we have had to drop our staff levels to below what we would normally have, meaning we are having to work harder than ever to maintain our operation, in short, it's a lot more work and stress for no gain.

So finding this, is just a kick in the teeth and not what we need.

If you or someone you know, knows anything about what happened last night, please get in touch.

And if you do visit us, and can spare a quid for the tip jar it really does make a massive difference to our staff. All tips are split between all staff, with nothing going to management.

We're now open on Sundays,

From 9-2 we will serving breakfast and the best coffee in town from in the shop and delivery through Uber eats and just eat. 🎉☺️

From waiters to cooks. Part time or full time, wage dependant on age.

Flexible on days and hours between Monday - Saturday.

Energetic, organised, positive attitude is absolutely key. Along with the ability to remain calm and focused in a busy environment.

We won't be able to respond to each individual applications as we literally have hundreds. But if the trial shifts are unsuccessful we will go through our current applications and call a few of you in.

What's going on here then 👀

Our wall needed a lick of paint so we've teamed up with the boys at .uk to do the largest graffiti art Barry has ever seen. It'll be a sunset setting with some of romes most famous monuments such as the colosseum, trevi fountain and roman forum.

Come take a look whilst they finish the piece off this week. We hope this is the start of many more art pieces for our high street.
