❤️ AN UPDATE FROM ARCAN

After an amazing journey, we’ve made the difficult decision to close Arcan, with Monday 31st August being our final day of trading.

We want to say a massive thank you to every single person who has visited us, supported us and been part of Arcan. It genuinely means a lot. ❤️

But this isn’t completely goodbye…

🥞☕️ ARCAN BRUNCH IS MOVING TO LOCHY’S RIGHT HERE IN BARRHEAD!

You’ll still see the same familiar faces, the same chef and the Arcan brunch you know and love — just in a new home at Lochy's

We’ll be bringing over your favourite brunch dishes, coffees and sweet treats as we start the next chapter.

So please come down and join us for one final weekend, with our last day on Monday. We’d love to see as many familiar faces as possible before we close the Arcan doors for the final time.

🍸 WE’RE BACK! 🍸

The wait is finally over… Arcan’s alcohol licence is back, and we’re delighted to be serving cocktails, wine, beers and spirits again! 🥂

A massive thank you to everyone who supported us while we waited—we can’t wait to welcome you all back.

🍹 We’re open late this Friday & Saturday, so come and enjoy an evening drink with us.

🍽️ And next weekend… our brand new evening menu launches, featuring premium steaks, fresh fish and a selection of exciting new dishes. We can’t wait to share it with you.

A special mention to two of our wonderful regulars, Robert & Marie, who were among the first to enjoy a cocktail back today. Cheers! 🥂💛

Seems we’ve made the local news… and as usual it’s been given a slightly more dramatic twist than reality 👀😂

For clarity — we chose to pause food service for a few days while we reset the kitchen ahead of our new head chef starting. No issues, no drama… just us making sure everything at Arcan is exactly where it should be.

We’ve always set our own standards — and we’re not afraid to take a step back to make sure we get it right.

We’ve also made some great adjustments in the process — including our new fresh cake display… and the giant éclairs have been going down a storm today 👀🍰

And just to clear things up — we’re not still closed. We reopened today and had a great day, so thanks to everyone for the support and kind comments❤️

⚠️ A Quick Update from Arcan ⚠️

At Arcan, we’ve always been about delivering a quality experience — from the food to the atmosphere — and holding ourselves to a high standard every single day.

Over the weekend, we made the decision to temporarily close our kitchen until Thursday. Quite simply, we felt we weren’t meeting the level you expect from us… and that’s not something we’re willing to compromise on.

Rather than push through, we’re taking a few days to reset, refocus, and get things exactly where they need to be.

The good news — we welcome our new Head Chef this week, and we’re excited for what’s coming next. This short break gives us the chance to come back sharper, stronger, and better than ever.

We’ll be back open from Thursday, and we can’t wait to have you back in.
