Did you know that every sorbet at Smooth is made in house using fresh fruit? As the summer wraps up we’ll be starting to swap out a few flavours with brand new seasonal additions. Keep your eyes peeled over the next couple of weeks as the new flavours start to filter in.

We’ve added the classic Italian dessert, Affogato to our menu & it’s the perfect combination of our two favourite things… Gelato & Espresso 😍
We’re using an incredible Columbian roast from our friends at Fidela and here we’ve paired it with our Madagascan Vanilla, Salted Caramel & Belgian Chocolate gelato.

This is becoming one of our most popular flavours so it looks like it’s here to stay at Smooth. We melt some very nice Belgian chocolate and drizzle it over our fior di latte gelato as it’s being extracted. The result is delicate little chocolate shards suspended through the gelato which have the most amazing texture when you take a bite :)
This one has actually been around since 1961 when it was created in Bergamo, Italy & it’s definitely stood the test of time!

A trip to our fruit wholesaler…
It’s a lovely way to start the day with a 7am stroll around a warehouse jam packed with fresh fruit. We use fresh fruit for all our sorbet and gelato so it’s great to select it ourselves and then use it just a few hours later. We picked up some stunning local strawberries from O’Malley Berry Co which we’ll be using this afternoon in our strawberries and cream gelato and our wild berry sorbet 🍓

We’re using the last of our Amalfi lemons and we’ve just had a delivery of some stunning Verdello lemons which are grown in Calabria and are bursting with juice as well as having the most fragrant skin which is perfect for zesting into a lemon sorbet 👌🏻🍋

We currently have three different chocolate options at Smooth… all created from scratch using some very nice chocolate that we nibble on during the entire process 😂.
54% Belgian, 70% Belgian & our brand new Dark chocolate sorbet. We’ll also be launching a classic chocolate & hazelnut gelato called Gianduja very soon so keep your eyes peeled for that in the next couple of weeks :)
