🚣♀️🌊 AHOY AHOY, IT’S THE BARR BUOY….. Raft! 🌊🚣♂️
What a day at the Strangford Festival Raft Race! We took to the water with absolutely no idea what we were doing… but sure, we hooked, line and sinker gave it our all! 🐟😂
After plenty of paddling, questionable steering, a few moments of “WHO’S ACTUALLY IN CHARGE HERE?!” and enough water coming over the raft to nearly qualify as a swimming lesson… we battled our way to a MIGHTY 5TH PLACE! 🏆🌊
We might not have won, but we definitely made waves! 🌊😂 And sure, 5th place is basically a podium if you squint hard enough!
A massive thank-you to everyone who helped us build the raft, get it on the water, cheer us on, shout completely unhelpful directions from the shore and generally keep us afloat! we genuinely couldn’t have done it without you! ❤️
An unbelievable amount of craic… but most importantly, we stayed buoyant! 🛟😂
