Farmhouse Cafe The cafe serves a selection of speciality coffees, home baking and light lunches. It offers a children's menu and there are gifts for sale.

The Farmhouse Café is a fully renovated old byre which opened in 2008. It is now a bright, modern café offering a selection of light meals, speciality coffees, and cakes throughout the day. The café is family friendly and has a relaxed seating area. There is a selection of gifts and souvenirs available. The café forms part of a working croft which has a registered fold of Highland cattle (Balemart

ine fold), and breeds Hebridean and Blackface sheep. The Highland cattle are regularly shown, and several have won rosettes in their class. Our hens produce the eggs which are used in the café. The Farmhouse Café is situated in the township of Balemartine, on the west side of the island. It is within easy walking distance of Soroby beach, which is an ideal location for bird and seal watching.

July has been one heck of a month!

It has been wonderful to catch up with ‘old’ friends and make new ones! Thank you so much to those who have dropped off flowers and gifts for us 🥰

The Tiree Music Festival brought visitors in their hundreds to the island, many for the first time, and it was lovely to see the sun shining!

The Tiree Agricultural Show once again allowed crofters, farmers, and those who enjoy the home industries section to showcase their livestock and skills.

There have also been some additional young staff members joining our team, and they have coped incredibly well with the challenges. I’m very proud to give young people the opportunity to gain experience in the workplace, and many of our previous team have gone on to achieve great successes. 🥰

The cafe will be unable to take any bookings on Wednesday 29th July as the Duke of Edinburgh cadets are coming in for lunch. We look forward to welcoming them back again this year!

The cafe will be closed on Friday 24th July to allow us to attend the Tiree Agricultural Show. 🐂
