The Garden Tea Room The Garden Tea room overlooks the beautiful Lathkill Dale. Open April to Oct, Thurs to Sundays (+Bank Holidays) weather permitting. Opening hours. 12 - 5 pm.

Home made cakes, teas and coffees. Cash and card's accepted.

We have had a very successful year operating the Bed & Breakfast but always in our mind is the Tea Room and the lovely people who came to us. We wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and a very happy and safe New Year. We haven't completely stopped baking and maybe next summer we will start to do our takeaway service, we will see how things go but in the meantime, I know we have said this before but we cannot thank everyone enough for all the custom and support you gave to the Tea Room x x take care everyone and stay safe x x x best wishes Kare, Mark, Maisie and Eddie.

After 9 lovely years of operating the Garden Tea Room we've decided to close it permanently now. We've enjoyed meeting lovely people and count ourselves lucky to have had the experience but now we feel all of the baking and work that goes on behind the scenes is too much as well as running the Bed & Breakfast. We will still be doing a takeaway service from the gates as and when we can for cold drinks, ice-creams and some of our cakes but this will be done on a casual basis. We would like to thank everyone who came and visited the tea room and supported our little home business and to the regular visitors a huge thank you x x we will miss meeting everyone both human and furry and wish everyone all the very best for the future x x lots of love, Karen, Mark, Maisie and Eddie x x x

We're sorry to say The Tea Room is temporarily closed, we hope to re-open at some point but for the foreseeable future it is closed. I will update as and when it will be open again. So sorry to disappoint anyone wishing to visit but we will be back at some point. x x

Sorry we are not closed for weather reasons. We're unable to open at all this weekend. Hopefully we will get back to normal soon x enjoy the good weather folks x at last some sunshine.

The Tea Room will not be opening Thursday 27th or Friday 28th May. I will update on the rest of the weekend when we know whether we can open or not. Apologies for anyone wishing to visit.

Update on the Tea Room, I should just save time and refer everyone to the Met Offices website! We are definitely closed tomorrow, Thursday and Friday and now Sunday looks bad so again I cannot see us opening up this week / weekend at all, it's really not worth doing all the baking just for one day on the off chance the weather brightens up. If the forecast changes and we can open I will again update the page accordingly. So sorry to let people down but the weather is beyond our control I'm afraid.

The Tea Room will again not be opening at all this week / weekend. Apologies to everyone want ing to visit but you only have to look at the weather forecast to know why we can't open. I will update if anything changes. Could new visitors please note we do not have any indoor seating and we cannot take reservations. Thank you.

An update on the upcoming weekend. The weather forecast for Thursday, Saturday and Sunday is bad, heavy rain and cold so we have decided not to open at all this week or weekend. Apologies to anyone hoping to visit but hopefully the weather will both warm up and the rain will stop soon and we can reopen. I will update at the beginning of next week.

I am giving a few days notice to say that due to the weather forecast the Tea Room will not be open on May 3rd Bank Holiday Monday. Heavy rain is forecast. At this moment in time we are going to try and be open today and tomorrow (Sunday) as much as possible despite showers forecast but if there is any change I will update. So we are closed on Monday. The latest on the Tea Room re-opening is that we will open on Saturday 17th April and Sunday 18th April. We are having to assist a friend of ours who needs some help so it will put us back a couple of days, hopefully the weather will have warmed up a little for the weekend. Opening times 12 - 5 pm. Off to the farm to get the egg's and than the baking begins x x x x

Due to the change in weather ( freezing cold!) we have decided it's not going to be worthwhile baking and doing the takeaway service over the Easter Weekend. We are still looking to reopen the Tea Room from the 15th April but again as always we will keep an eye on the weather and update as necessary. x x apologies but we will see you all soon.
