Hi gang
We’ve got a fabulous happening next Thursday here at HG and I’ve just checked and it’s going to be a balmy 25° and SUNNY!
This is the absolute best weather to experience HG and not to be too manipulative about it, this is one of your last opportunities to dine at the OG HG before we move the business! If you keep thinking ooh I must try High Grange… then now’s the time to book before it’s too late!

We’ll have delicious food cooked by including meat sizzling away on our family if with our brand new FOH manager looking after you.. we’ve got some new wines from and new cider from - SPECTACULAR. If you’re good I’ll give out a load of free tasters…

All the photos on this reel are from recent fire suppers- if you like eating lots of delicious food in a beautiful woodland with dogs and chickens at your feet then this is for you…

NEWS!

So yeah… people keep messaging me saying that they’ve seen High Grange on Right Move, so the secrets well and truly out.

We’re coming to the end of an era with High Grange the house but we’re just starting a new adventure with High Grange the business…

We’ll be announcing a new HQ soon - it will have all the magic of HG but will have, for example more than one lav….

All of our events in 2026 will be right here but from next year we’ll be in a new home.

Not only has the business outgrown this site but also as a family we’ve realised that we need a bit of separation of home and work… and as the kids get older I’m getting sick of being a rural cabbie… Watch out Lyme Regis- The VMs are house hunting….

This has been a magical place to bring up our children and from our first Feast in 2019 it’s been the most incredible adventure. We’ve had Covid, wars & hurricanes. I’ve made mistakes along the way and my long-suffering wife has endured a life in hospitality that she never asked for… but we’ve also ended up with a business that I’m proud of with a team I could never have dreamed of. We’ve got big plans.

It’s the best house I’ll ever live in. I’ll be devastated to leave. But the times right to hand it over to the next family to make it theirs.
I’ll do a post tomorrow selling the place properly but this is just some news…. Thanks for everything, HG.

I saw someone yesterday who said ‘Jesus you must be busy you’re not dicking around on social media’ And he’s right… I’ve been so all-consumed by fire schools, weddings, adminn, not to mention you know, kids and family and stuff that I’ve entirely neglected to promote the business on these various hell sites.
SO!
We have some AMAZING events coming up - particularly if you live towards

Thursday 25th June: Right here at HG - one of our spectacular Fire Suppers - under the stars and the trees, fires, friends and as much food and booze as you can take… local, seasonal, artisan with at the helm cooking wonderful produce from .penny.farm

Friday 26th June : after a wildly successful ‘first night’ I’m back at the gorgeous for a ‘fire and fizz’ extravaganza amongst the vines. What a place, what a vibe- book on their website

Friday 3rd July : I’ll be ‘popping up’ at the absolutely stunning for a night of fire, feasting and FUN. Head over to their website to buy tickets - it’s going to be gorgeous- firepits on the terrace overlooking the cricket pitch. Cocktails and canapés… what could be better than that?

There’s loads more too - check out our calendar for all the bits and pieces… get some fire in your life… summers here 🔥❤️

Gorgeous wedding today .

I love it when couples want chicken… it’s kind of gone out of fashion and people think it’s boring… good chicken from b***d out, whole and cooked over embers is anything but…. And patatas bravas, padrons… butter beans and veg… lots of veg.

Lovely couple, lovely venue, lovely wedding 🔥❤️
