The longest day of the year calls for a proper gathering.

This Saturday, Our Friends Eclectic returns to The Shelter for a Summer Solstice celebration with a selector who knows his way around a record collection.

Pro Vinylist Karim will be digging deep through soul, jazz, disco, funk and leftfield gems, soundtracking an afternoon and evening by the River Spey.

Free entry, good food, cold drinks, riverside views and plenty of room to settle in for a few hours.

Andrew Matthew will be firing up the oven serving pizza throughout the evening.

A reminder that Scottish songwriter Jo Mango joins us next Wednesday, 17th June, for an intimate live performance at the Old Bridge Inn.

Touring her new album The Lightswitch — her first solo record in twelve years — Jo brings a collection of beautifully crafted songs shaped by memory, place and the pull of returning to what matters most.

Tonight’s the night 🎻💯

Our folk session kicks off from 7:30pm and runs through to 10pm, with musicians gathering from near and far for an evening of tunes, songs and the kind of atmosphere that can’t really be planned.

Whether you play, sing, or just fancy settling in with a pint and listening from the sidelines, you’re very welcome.

will be serving pizza from 5pm and if the session ends up running later than expected, our rooms are only a few steps away.

Starts 7:30pm. Free entry. No setlist, no tickets, no guarantees on what tune comes next. Just good folk and good company.

A proper start to the Our Friends Eclectic summer series 💯

Big thanks to everyone who joined us by the river yesterday and to and OBI resident OC for setting the tone with an expertly curated soundtrack from start to finish.

Our Friends Eclectic returns for our Summer Solstice Session on Saturday 20th June with music in The Shelter from 4pm–10pm.

We’ll also have serving up pizza throughout the evening, so you’re covered whether you’re settling in for a few hours or accidentally staying all day.
