We light a candle this evening as we reflect on a day spent remembering one of Attleborough’s most recognisable stalwarts, former Town Councillor, Mayor and Honorary Alderwoman Vera Dale.

Vera will be remembered for her dedication, community spirit and the considerable time and energy she gave to Attleborough over many years. Her contribution to the life of the town has left a lasting legacy. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her and by the wider community she served.

It was a wonderful service, and so moving to see Attleborough come together to give Vera the send off she deserved. It was so touching to see the community line Attleborough High Street as Vera made her final journey, alongside members of the Attleborough Royal British Legion, Attleborough Town and Breckland councillors, Norfolk Constabulary and many other local people.

Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Griffin as we gathered to celebrate Vera’s life. Thank you again to Kelly’s Catering for such a superb spread.
Your support meant so much to us all.

Sleep tight, Vera. You will be dearly missed.

Love Daniel and Jake ###🤍🕊️

Sleep tight Vera 🕊️🤍xx

This morning we said goodbye to one of our beloved Branch members, Mrs Vera Dale.
It was extremely touching to see so many Attleborough residents lining Attleborough High Street as Vera made her final journey, led by Denise Ramsbottom, Attleborough RBL members, Tyrone Power of Norfolk RMA, RAFA Norfolk, RAFA Armourers, Attleborough Town Councillors, PC Dion Phillips of Norfolk Constabulary and so many locals paying their respects.
After that Committal at Breckland Crematorium it was lovely to be hosted by The Griffin Attleborough where we raised our glasses and set up a Bailey's on Ice in memory of Vera.
