Just a quick update as a few people have messaged to check everything is okay after the boat fire at the marina this afternoon.

Thankfully, Paul is absolutely fine and his boat is still floating. There is some damage, but it appears to be cosmetic.

A big thank you to the fire brigade for attending and making sure everything was safe.

We definitely could have done without the excitement this afternoon, but these things happen! Thank you to everyone who has messaged and checked in ❤️

💚 £538 raised for Macmillan! 💚

We are absolutely delighted to say that our Macmillan Coffee Morning raised an amazing £538! 🎉☕🍰

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along, bought cakes and coffees, joined in and donated. Your support really does mean so much and every penny will be going to such an important cause. 💚

And an extra special thank you to Pauline, who put so much time, effort and hard work into helping organise the day. We really couldn’t have done it without you — you’re an absolute star! 🌟💚

🍂 DO WE CLOSE FOR WINTER? ☕️
It’s a question we get asked a lot as the colder months start creeping in… and the answer is NO! 🥰
Marina View Coffee Shop is open all year round, and our usual opening hours will be staying the same throughout the winter. ☕️🍰
So whether it’s a sunny summer afternoon or a cold, wet winter’s day, you can still pop in, warm up and enjoy a coffee and something to eat with us. ❤️
We do close over Christmas each year to give ourselves and the team a well-earned break 🎄, but apart from that, we’re here throughout the winter!
So no hibernating for us! 😂☕️

We’re really excited to welcome Natalie from Metallic Sunflower Calligraphy to Marina View Coffee Shop! ✍️☕🍂
Natalie will be running some lovely Calligraphy Club sessions here at the coffee shop — a relaxed and friendly way to learn something new, get creative and enjoy a little time to yourself.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or have tried calligraphy before, everyone is welcome. ❤️

💚 A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our Macmillan Coffee Morning today. 💚

This was our third year holding it at Marina View and it really does mean so much to see so many people coming along and supporting us year after year.

An extra special thank you to Pauline for all the time, effort and care she puts into helping make the day happen. We really do appreciate everything you do. 💚

🦢 A little swan update…

Some of you might remember one of our cygnets was taken away earlier this year with angel wing.

We’re really happy to say he’s made a full recovery and has now been released back into the wild — along with his new friend 🦢🦢❤️

Such lovely news and so nice to know he’s doing well!
