🍇 From Mount Etna to our tables at Santi’s 🍷🌋

What an unforgettable day at Firriato’s Cavanera Etnea estate in Sicily yesterday..

We explored the vineyards and winery while our guide, Roberto, explained how Mount Etna’s volcanic soil and unique climate give these incredible wines their distinctive character.

After the tour, we enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting with a Sicilian lunch the perfect way to experience the flavours of this remarkable region.

At Santi’s, wine is about more than putting a bottle on the table. It’s about understanding where it comes from, meeting the people behind it and appreciating the land and traditions that make it special.

We’re incredibly proud to serve wines from Firriato and Fina. The wines we tasted are available to enjoy or purchase at our restaurants, bringing the very best of Sicily directly to you.

And believe us, we tried quite a few they’re some of the finest wines you could ask for! 🇮🇹🍷

From Sicily to Santi’s 🇮🇹🍷

Tomorrow we’re heading up Mount Etna in Sicily for a very special day of wine tasting and discovery.

We’ll be visiting Firriato at Cavanera Etnea, seeing first hand where some of the wines we proudly serve at Santi’s & Norma come from walking the vineyards, learning about the winemaking process and of course, tasting the wines followed by a Sicilian lunch. 🍇🍷

Our wine supplier Leo has organised the visit for us, and joining the experience will be Angelo and his partner together with our manager of Santi’s Elisa and her son Francesco.

We’ll also be exploring the wines of Firriato and Fina, two Sicilian producers whose wines we serve back home in the UK.

For us, it’s about more than putting a bottle on the table. It’s about knowing where our wines come from, meeting the people behind them and understanding the land and traditions that make them special.

Tomorrow we get to experience that journey at its source on the slopes of Mount Etna. 🌋🍷🇮🇹

And then we’ll bring a little bit more of Sicily back home to Santi’s & Norma & hopefully some new wines ❤️
