Our kitchen will be open from midday to 6pm on Bank Holiday Monday, we strongly advise booking a table!

We also have a fab cricket match on Monday as the President of Penn Street Cricket Club takes on the Chairwoman of the club (aka the Chair Bird)! It will make for a great match that’s for sure!

The first rule of lunch club… leave behind the Tupperware box and come enjoy one of The Squirrel’s Proper Club Sandwiches- a triple decker of bacon, lettuce, freshly sliced tomato, egg and chicken, it’s a proper one!!!

Then we have a lunchtime classic of Fish & Chips or go from boring to Board-zing with our Ploughman’s Platter!

All these and more delicious choices for £14.50 including a drink*.

Hello all… Hope everyone is keeping cool in this heatwave right now ☀️☀️☀️☀️

We are ensuring our staff are too and that’s why our kitchen will be closing at 3pm today and opening from 5pm to 8pm only. Last orders at 19:30, if however, if we need to close any earlier we will do.

Tomorrow - THURSDAY 13th AUGUST - our kitchen will be CLOSED all day and evening due to the expected highest temperature of the week.

We do not expect our staff to be in the kitchen, which will be at least another 10° hotter than outside, cooking meals and making themselves unwell from heat exhaustion.

Our team are one of the best around and we take their health very seriously and in the best shape so we can serve you all in the awesome way we do with great food!

Thank you for your understanding, keep safe, hydrate and keep in the shade as much as you can!
