We are in the process of finalising all of the Scarecrow category options and sourcing prizes.

However, as part of the local community we recognise that Alvechurch Baptist Church are celebrating their 200th Birthday this year and in linking with their celebrations one of our Scarecrow categories will be:

🌾 Alvechurch Through the Ages – Celebrating 200 Years

Help celebrate Alvechurch’s fascinating history. Bring the past to life with a scarecrow inspired by a person, place, event, tradition or moment from Alvechurch’s history or present day if you wish!

Head over to Alvechurch Scarecrow Festival page for more information and more categories to be confirmed soon!

📚✨ Creative fun at Friendship Matters today, running every Monday 9.45-1.00! ✨📚

Today our Friendship Matters group enjoyed getting creative and making their own bookmarks! 💕 It was lovely to see everyone getting involved, the different creative ideas and enjoying time together.

🥙🍲Lunch was a delicious chicken, bacon, mushroom and leek pasta bake with a side of veg, followed by Ginger Cake and custard.

We’re also incredibly grateful to have received funding from the Better Together Asda Foundation. 💙

A huge thank you to Abi, the Bromsgrove Asda Community Champion, who nominated us and helped make this funding possible. Your support means so much to our Friendship Matters group and helps us continue providing enjoyable activities, friendship and support for our local community.

Thank you Asda and Abi! 🥰📚💙

CAN YOU HELP US WITH PRIZES? 🙏

We’re getting ready for our Alvechurch Communities Together Scarecrow Festival, and we’re looking for local businesses and individuals who would be willing to donate a prize, voucher, experience or gift for our competition and activities.

🌟 Whether it’s a small gift, a voucher for your business, a family experience or something a little special, every donation makes a difference.

Your generosity will help us create a fantastic community event for local families while supporting the work of Alvechurch Communities Together and the community projects we run throughout the year. ❤️

In return, we’d be delighted to thank and promote our prize donors as part of the festival.

If you’re a local business or someone who would like to donate a prize, please get in touch with us at Alvechurch Communities Together.

📩 Every prize, big or small, would be hugely appreciated.

Let’s come together and make this year’s Scarecrow Festival a fantastic celebration of our community! 🌻🎃

Eggs at The Lounge

In light of the recent news relating to Salmonella infections, we just wanted to reassure our customers that we do not use imported eggs at The Lounge.

We use a local supplier Whittaker’s Eggs who are a family run, arable and free range egg farm from Stoney Lane, Tardebigge.

So you can continue to enjoy your eggs fried, poached or scrambled, with confidence 🍳 🥚 😊
