🎨 A LITTLE PIECE OF ALSTON! ❤️

Many months ago, I challenged our very talented local artist Dominic Richardson Art to paint a view up Front Street, capturing Walter’s along the way.

Well, just look at what he’s created! 😍 I absolutely love it!

Dominic has such a unique way of painting, predominantly using his left hand and often applying oils directly onto the canvas rather than using brushes. What an incredible talent!

The original painting is now proudly hanging in Walter’s, and we have Dominic’s beautiful cards available for £5 each, with every penny going directly to him.

Dominic also has his own little studio on Front Street, where you can buy prints of his beautiful artwork, so do pop in and support this fabulous local artist!

I just want to say a huge thank you to Jade for all the hard work she put into our French Supper Club.

Yet again, the food was incredible and the feedback from everyone who joined us was nothing but praise.

I know how much time, thought and effort goes into putting these evenings together, and I really do appreciate everything she does.

Thank you, Jade, I couldn’t do these evenings without you! ❤️

And a special thank you to our Macey, who really is a little superstar! Helping out both in the kitchen and front of house, she’s proving to be quite the multitalented young lady! We’re lucky to have her. ❤️

Tonight we’re getting ready for our SOLD OUT French Supper Club! 🥖🇫🇷

Just a little reminder that last food orders will be at 5pm, and we’ll be closing to the public at 6pm to get everything ready for our French evening.

🎶 ONE OF ALSTON’S OWN – LIVE AT WALTER’S! 🎶

We’re really excited to welcome Rory Connor to Walter’s — although we can hardly say he’s coming to Alston, because Alston is home! ❤️

Rory has been part of the Cumbrian music scene for over 20 years, performing solo and with folk band Tarras, with appearances including Kendal Calling and Solfest. 🎸

Many of you will already know Rory as a familiar face around Alston — so this one feels particularly special.

One of our own, playing right here in his home town. ❤️🎶

And it looks like plenty of you are just as excited as we are! We’ve already sold lots of tickets, with only a handful remaining! 🎟️
