Mediterranean Kitchen takes over Jaffas in Accrington
Mediterranean Kitchen, located on Blackburn Road, Accrington, is owned and directed by Despoina Charalampidou and her husband Raja Ajaz Khan.
The couple took over Jaffas, a much-loved spot in the town, and are aiming to continue its reputation for authentic Middle Eastern cuisine while also working on adding their own styles and twists.
Despoina said: "We decided to take on Jaffas because we recognised how well loved it has been within the Accrington community and wanted to build on that strong reputation while also bringing a fresh new beginning to the restaurant."
While the kitchen team is new, the owners are committed to preserving the original flavoursand dishes that made Jaffas a local favourite.
Despoina said: "Keeping the original Jaffas flavours has been very important to us, which is why we’ve worked hard to maintain the dishes that customers have enjoyed over the years.
"Jaffas has always been an important part of the local community, and we feel very lucky to continue its journey."
