What a day - Laura and I would just like to take a bit of a moment to say a big heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you amazing people who came out for Cerys yesterday!

She was spoilt rotten and in fairness a little overwhelmed with such an outpouring of love and affection.

So thank you all for her cards, her presents, and most of all for being here on her first extra special day!

🎄🎅 **RIGHT THEN... IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!** 🎅🎄

We’re getting the fundraising bucket back out and this time it’s for a cracking little local Christmas mission. ❤️

Our good friend and local councillor Cllr Carl Worrall - Penparcau Aberystwyth Ward is trying to make sure **every child at Ysgol Llwyn Yr Eos gets a little treat for Christmas**. 🎁🍫

And naturally, we want to help him make it happen.

🎯 **OUR TARGET IS £500!** 🎯

That’s the number we’re aiming for, and we’d absolutely love to smash it.

So over the coming weeks you’ll find:

🪣 **A donation bucket on the bar**
⚽ **Football cards galore**
🎟️ **A few fundraising bits and pieces**
👀 **And probably some other daft ideas once we think of them...**

Every pound, every bit of loose change and every football card square gets us closer to that **£500 target**.

We know money is tight for plenty of people, so nobody is expected to chuck a fortune in. If everyone who can spare a little does exactly that, hopefully we can turn it into something pretty special for the kids this Christmas. ❤️

So next time you’re in the Vale, have a rummage through the pockets, check behind the sofa cushions and chuck a few quid in the bucket if you can.

Somehow, our little girl is turning ONE. Honestly, we’re not entirely sure where that year disappeared to. One minute she was tiny, the next she’s running the place. 😂

So on Tuesday 22nd September, we’re having a little birthday celebration for Cerys at The Vale and we’d love our friends, family, regulars and assorted pub reprobates to come and join us. ❤️

There’ll be birthday celebrations, cake, probably a slightly confused one-year-old wondering why everyone keeps singing at her, and no doubt Mum & Dad getting emotional while pretending they're both absolutely fine. 🍺😭

We’ve got another Sunday Social at The Vale, and one participating pub is walking away with a £1,000 cash winner.

Getting involved is easy:

🍺 Get in from 3pm
🎟️ The first 100 customers get a raffle ticket
⚽ Stay in the pub for the draw
💷 If The Vale gets picked, somebody in here could be leaving £1,000 richer

That’s a fairly decent return on popping in for a Sunday pint. 😂

We’ve already got the football on, the meat raffle is drawn at 4pm, and now there’s a grand up for grabs as well.

🏆 Possibly leave with a frankly unnecessary amount of meat

No entry fee. No complicated forms. No secret handshake.

Just have a drink and you’re in it to win it.
