Poetry & Acoustic Music at The Feathers Hotel with The iambic Assassin/Just Jaff on New Year's Eve. 🥂

The iambic Assassin is a poet, but as he likes to call himself a promoter of silly verse.

He has been referred to as the Welsh John Cooper Clarke and having met the good Dr a few times was told by JCC that "The iambic Assassin is a great name".

There will be acoustic music to follow the poetry with 'Just Jaff' 🎸🎤

The very talented comedian/poet Clare Ferguson Walker (who often supports Dr John Cooper Clarke) wrote about The iambic Assassin;

"Talented and clever wordsmith, who weaves poetry into stories which are as funny as they are poignant."

Just Jaff is an accomplished musician who used to play bass in mainly cover bands but for the last 15 years has been quite happy going solo playing a few of his own songs but mainly covers covering a fairly wide genre from pop, rock, folk to country. He has been known to bring his electric guitar along and let rip into Queen's Fat Bottom Girls to liven things up a bit.

Please come along and be quiet and slightly so**ed for the poetry and then talkative and tenuously tipsy for the Acoustic music to introduce in The New Year.🥳❤

Brrrr... Baby it's cold outside. ⛄🎄🎅What could be better than sitting next to a roaring open fire with a large glass of homemade mulled wine? 🍷For each batch, we use six bottles of Merlot, cinnamon sticks, star anise, vanilla pods, cloves, lemon zest, orange peel, lime juice and freshly grounded nutmeg...packed with the cosiest winter flavours. And last but not least a good glug of spiced rum !! Add a mince pie and pay only 5.60. We are waiting for you. 😁😁
