International tea day is celebrated to recognise the cultural, economic and social significance of tea across the world

Happy International Tea Day. Tea is a great medicinal accompaniment for travellers. Here are some great ones we recommend:

All teas are better from the wild if possible and hand picked if you know what you are doing.

Peppermint tea for digestion support (fresh wild leaves in hot water are the best)

Rooibos tea for non caffeinated choice (even used in babies bottles in Sth Africa) high antioxidant properties

Rose petal tea - good for sleep you can use dried or fresh petals or buds from rose plant.

Lavender tea - aids sleep

Ginger and lemon tea - best fresh cut ginger and fresh lemon in a pot and sip on it all day.

Lemon in hot water - good in a pot with

Black tea - cold or I love it cold with rose petals and ice

Green tea and lavender is one of my new favorite things I have it hot and cold on ice. No sugar just on ice and it's Divine.

Monday tea is green tea from Indias south with a touch of lavender. My new teapot I got this weekend from the second hand shop in Yenne for 1 euro! It's a probably from the 1940s beautifully made. I love finding treasures like this.
