A fine farewell from Le Surfing 2009-2019
I’ve had a few people asking if we were opening this summer, obviously those in and around Seignosse had noticed it not yet open and some from further away were requesting as they always enjoyed to come back and see us each summer.
So to finally respond to the question, sadly the answer is NO!
With world travel not possible and the current state of ever changing lockdowns I found myself without a flight. Thus I am currently unable to leave Australia(where I was born and luckily also very happy to be) for this Euro summer like I had done for so many years.
Although this has left me with the situation that jeopardized my continuation at Le Surfing.
So it comes a time, like in many moments of life(or even as a more rare “rites of passage”) where it’s my time to say goodbye to an era and clear the mandala for the next. After lots of thought and then some more thought, and all this at the same time as the birth of my second child, the wild ride stopped and the outcome was clear.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my 10 summers at Le Surfing and no words in this farewell will achieve what I honestly feel. But I have a love for the moments and memories passed over the last decade at Estagnots and feel very blessed for those.
So I wish to give my deepest appreciation to everybody who helped to create those phenomenal times and send you loads of love.
I have decided to close my legacy and this will be my last post from the original Le Surfing as you knew it for the last decade. I will keep it open though as I’d love to ask those who made it all the way to read here to post some photos from times gone by. I can only guess there are some amazing and very funny photos out there from those years.
SO PLEASE USE THIS SPACE TO SHARE YOUR MEMORIES :)
There is another crew who will be putting their heart and soul into the walls like we have done. So go see them and say G’day and continue to enjoy that amazing spot. Maybe even throw a cheers to us as you soak up that mesmerizing sunset, we will be missing you all.
