Been cooking up some delights this weekend! Loving having guests here so I can get creative! 💕

A delicious, refreshing strawberry mint cream cake for the last bites on this weekends retreat HeartSpace House🤤

One of the best things about being here in France is the quality of the fresh produce - from a chefs point of view there is nothing more important! Fresh mint from the garden and strawberries from the local farmers market 💕

Happy summer solstice to everyone for yesterday and we hope you’re staying safe in the heat! It’s 40C here today 🥵

I feel like with social media there is such a push to show up even when you’re busy, even when you’re tired, even when you’re not in the mood. Though I saw so many lovely messages about the auspicious longest day of the year yesterday, I didn’t feel like I should force myself to show up here just to post something.

Real life takes a front seat, I’d rather just enjoy my moments, my day and I hope you can maybe put your phone aside and just look at that sunset or take a moment to go on a walk without music or just be bored! I think to be bored is actually such a luxury that we don’t allow ourselves so often anymore - it leads to creativity, it can spark a passion, a new idea 🥰

I understand that you need social media for a business presence but I never want to fake it. I don’t want to use AI to write my posts or take the soul out of our business. I am legit not judging anyone who does though!

We were asked earlier in the year for more outside seating along with the table and chairs under the pergola and we have provided!

Along with some new deck chairs on the deck we have this cute two person rocking chair and a bunch of comfy bean bags - with more outdoor furniture on the way!

We’re always more than happy to act on advice so if you stay with us, please tell us what you think we can do to make your stay even more comfortable! 💕

We have a gorgeous yellow cherry tree in our garden. And I bloody love cherries 🤤

The only problem is it’s not exactly obvious when they’re ripe as they start out yellow and then just stay yellow!

There is literally a two day window from when they’re perfect to when the birds having stolen them all so Jamie was up in the tree for a solid afternoon yesterday picking as many as he could reach!

And oh boyyyyyyyy have we feasted 🥰 another beautiful part of our lives here 💕

Just some shots of the food served on the last few retreats we had here at HeartSpace House 🥰

As you may know, cooking has always been my absolute passion - I see being able to help fuel people who are going through some really big changes as a huge blessing and a true honour!

There was a time when I wanted to be a dietician and help people find health through food in a clinical setting but honestly? I think helping to actually show how the food on your plate can be used as medicine but also be delicious is so much more pertinent!

Not a bad view out the window for a weekend spent inside 🥰

Some of you guys know that I’ve spent the last nine months taking part in a Kundalini yoga teacher training with and this weekend is from home - ever grateful that I have all the equipment and quiet space I could need 😅

My goal from the beginning hasn’t been to actually teach but to understand more of this spiritual practice we find happening all around us in our lives - to see how I can better support those that come through here at HeartSpace House.

It’s been a wonderful experience thus far and I’m excited but sad that our session next month will be our last - looking at potentially holding training sessions here next year (if I sort my organising and admin head out) though if anyone is interested!! Keep your eyes open for details at some point in the future! 💕

For those of you who have visited, you’ll probably have met our little daredevil, Demi 💕 she’s wonderfully sociable, confident and playful and will have most definitely flopped at your feet waiting for a cuddle 🥰

We don’t know where she came from but she visited every day for the whole of last summer and worked up the courage to meet us and to let us love her. Now she loves everyone but she still knows her own boundaries.

And it makes me wonder how a tiny cat can figure out so many things, how she can trust in others and live a little life of pure joy. And also, can we all be a bit more Demi? 💕

Summery days, long grass, vines climbing up the walls, flowers blooming and petals falling… all of a sudden everything looks like an old photo of a holiday I can’t quite remember from some point long ago. There are smells I recognise and clouds I think I’ve seen before.

As always, feeling quite astounded with our surroundings and our life here - I hope so many of you get to come here and experience it 💕

Another retreat completed last week with the always beautiful and amazing who is now looking to book two retreats with us next year so keep your eyes peeled for those!

I love how each person who comes through uses the space differently - a new layout, an interesting incense - and creates new wonderful energy that I think they leave a little of behind with us 🥰 honestly just feel so blessed to be able to help hold the space and meet so many beautiful souls 💕
