Someone wrote to me that they find it strange that I share and repost political posts and that a restaurant account should stick to posting about what’s on their menu… thing is lately I cannot do otherwise, my work cannot be detached from what’s in my heart and on my mind, in the last two years we have seen genocides unfolding before our eyes, whole forests are burning we are witnessing greed in its rawest form the capitalist monster doesn’t even need to wear a mask anymore we are on the verge of losing our ecosystems to build data centers losing our right to water WATER you guys, how can I simply post a menu when the threat of not having running water to cook is real we are gambling everything away our intelligence our will to fight injustice , for what??? for having a machine write your sterile emails for you, a machine to edit your faces so that you all look like Hollywood stars when we all look like dogs, wait until you have no water left to have a shower then we will really need some heavy editing to look ok in photos, I am writing this from a position of hope that a good number of us can still save what we can, Ash Misquez is a small place but boy do I try to go against the currents day in day out staying small is in itself a statement, writing my menus with my own head and my own hands is a political statement so I might not be posting what’s on the table but indeed I am posting what’s on the table for now it’s this … I hope in the coming years things will get better, all I know is that we need to have faith in our natural intelligence, feed her by reading books, having real conversations that involve eye contact with people you like and love , enjoy some great uninhibited s*x when we can share a bottle of wine with friends and eat a meal far away from our phone, all this has proved to be of success in the past thousands of years don’t let anybody tell you that these things are lame. That’s all. Have a good Sunday and don’t ask me why I’m not posting as often photos of food at the moment. X###
