Dear Friends

I have been forced to permanently call 'Last Orders' on Le Bar Morillon.

My greedy landlords have taken several rent increases over the last 6 years. They charge 3 times the fair level of rent, and refused to negotiate with me. This was unsustainable. Ironically, they are now the new landlords.

I want to personally thank you for your support and custom. Our review ratings suggest that we made you very happy. My favourite review was "Great pub, great atmosphere, great food, great team".

The table dancing nights are legendary. We had some fun together.

So the inaugural quiz night was a great success. 7 teams competed for the bottle of wine first price which was won by Dave 'Le Minstrel' who will be back tomorrow night in his role as Minstrel.

Good news all round. As I write this Sunday morning, it's snowing like crazy at 1100.

Sairon is open, as are all links to and from Flaine - although currently you have to descend on the Sairon chair.

The forecast for the week ahead is more snow 🙂❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️🙂

Ok folks - an update on snow and skiing conditions for you (I've just come off the phone with the tourist office).

It has snowed this week. As a result Sairon chair has reopened.

However, from Morillon all links remain shut. It is possible to get to Flaine from Samoens (and then ski back to Morillon).

There is more snow forecast next week. As the situation improves, I'll let you know.

Snow has fallen! Not enough yet to reopen, but they're optimistic that more is on its way 🙂
