this will take you directly to our front door We have a bright and airy 3 bedroomed apartment above our café which sleeps 6 people in 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin room. A cot is also available if required. The accommodation is dog friendly, and a dog bed and bowls are provided for your best friend at no extra cost. All beds have new mattresses and pillows and are fitted with mattress and pillow protectors. The apartment has a bath with a shower over, wash basin and separate toilet. Bed linen and towels are supplied but if you would like to visit the local beaches at nearby lakes, we would request that you provide your own beach towels, thank you. The apartment is light and airy and has a fully equipped kitchen/diner with oven, hob and fridge/freezer as well as a washing machine for use during your stay. An iron and ironing board is also provided. The apartment has a separate access from the café and is self-contained. The café is open predominantly during daytime hours. Therefore, the apartment is not subject to undue noise or disturbance from the business during unsocial hours. Wi-Fi available. During opening hours, you are very welcome to use the café where we sell a wide range of drinks, barista style coffees, delicious homemade cakes, snacks and light meals. The café is also dog friendly, and we would love to see your pooches. They get a “good dog biscuit” too. Please note;
The apartment and café are strictly no smoking environments and for the comfort and cleanliness of others we do enforce this restriction. We would respectfully ask for your cooperation in this matter. Smoking is permitted on the terrace. Please also note, the apartment is situated on the first floor of our café and therefore accessed by stairs. We regret that it is unsuitable for those with mobility issues. Free Parking is available outside of the café/apartment or within easy reach of the accommodation on the village carparks. The apartment is available all year-round and is an ideal base to explore the local area, visit friends and relatives or take a well-earned break. Hi all
Well the summer is holding on and we are in October and still in summer clothes. Absolutely marvelous though we do need rain to revive the countryside and our local streams, many if which are completely dried up.
But the long range forecast is much colder by the end of the month so we should see the Gru on there migration soon.
On that note we hope you have stockpiled your wood ready for the winter chill.

Again the cake demon,
aka Jayne has been busy and our menu board has changed slightly to include more hearty foods along with your regular favourites.
On that subject our pie warmer cabinet has come out of retirement and there will be hot pasties and sausage rolls available from 12:00-14:00 ( subject to availablity) along with daily specials.

Our cooked breakfast is still available on Friday and Saturday from 09:30-11:30 we strongly recommend booking via messenger to save disappointment.
We only cater for our indoor capacity since the weather can be a challenge at times, so it's best to get in there early. We already have bookings for Friday and Saturday

Hi folks

Well it's a bit dark in the mornings now, so here we are once more all ready for another day of café life. Strange to say but we have missed it in a way but being able to lie in bed after sunrise was a bit of a treat.

But its now time to get on with it Jayne has been baking like crazy and we have a full counter once more. Christmas cakes are a distant thought as are hot X buns 🤣 but time is approaching and they will be made. We have had a slight change of menu away from summer food towards more comfort food for the eventual change of season and beef pot topped puff pastry sauté potatoes and peas is this week's special

We have looked at AI and it's a bit too intelligent for me so all our pictures are of the food we actually produce either what's on the counter or as served to customers .

Once more our popular breakfast service is available on Friday and Saturday from 09:30-11:30. We strongly recommend booking via messenger to save disappointment. We only cater for our indoor seating since the weather can be a challenge at times , despite the forecast . Could we kindly ask that you keep to your booking times so everyone gets served quickly and you do not end up waiting unnecessarily

Good morning everyone

So it's now officially autumn ( according to the calendar) and summer is over maybe. Admittedly autumn must be our favourite time of the year especially with the autumn colours of the "fall" which is such an appropriate name for the time of year.

Here we are at the café for our final week prior to our post summer break and we will be closed from 15:00 this Saturday , so we can have a bit of downtime as well as have our hospital visits for repair purposes. This getting old bit is a challenge.!!

we will be reopening Wednesday September 30th.

But in the meantime our service is as normal with a counter full of our freshly baked cakes cakes with some additions. Our full savoury menu is available and as a special this week we have Sausage and homemade mash with garden peas and onion gravy

Good morning all
Well last night was the last of the Champniers night markets for this year and a great night was had by all. We only have a 10 month wait until they restart again but it is almost the end of the summer season so we need to make the most of it.

Café life is still ticking along with a counter full of our homemade cakes and the fridge counter is well stocked with fresh cream cakes.

All our savory menu is available along with a lunchtime special for this week of fish and chips battered to order and hand cut chips.

Hi all

Well this is a nice pleasant period of weather and not as draining as we have had in the recent heatwave.

Here at the café all is good with a full menu board which Is only prepared on order for the best quality and taste. The pizzas are proving very popular and made using our own bread recipe for the base.

Various drinks are available with our iced lattes being very popular at the moment and our coffees are made how you like them just ask and we also have a lot of milkshakes and frappe available to
