SPECIAL WEATHER BULLETIN FOR HEAVY RAIN ISSUED FROM THE NATIONAL WEATHER FORECASTING CENTRE, NADI
A heavy rain warning remains in force for the entire Fiji group.
At 3:00am today, Category 3 Tropical Cyclone Vaianu was located about 380km west of Yasawa-i-Rara and 380km west-northwest of Nadi.
The system is moving southeast at around 10km/hr and is expected to be:
• 280km southwest of Nadi, or
• 250km west-southwest of Kadavu by 3:00am tomorrow.

• Possible thunderstorms

POSSIBLE IMPACTS
• Flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas
• Flooding at Irish crossings causing traffic disruptions
• Surface flooding in towns and areas with poor drainage
• Dangerous driving conditions due to wet roads and low visibility
