Ett litet sommarcafe i Kasnäs by. Vi bjuder på hemmagjort sött och salt tillsammans med kaffe, te och svalkande drycker. "Ellen Järvinens passion för god mat samt dröm om att göra något eget, har mynnat ut i Källarvinden, ett litet pittoreskt café i Kasnäs by. I ett gammalt skjul har hon rustat upp till ett mysigt titta-in med en salig blandning av gammal och ny interiör."

As the red cottages door in Kasnäs closes, another one is opening in Turku soon.

Tomorrow we open again with a new exciting menu!

Courgetteflowers have come into season and we pair them with local honey and homemade ricotta.
We also have some classics like our tartar and Pike-perch Wallenberg 🐟
For dessert we are concentrating on seasonal sweet strawberries in form of a sorbet with a white chocolate mousse and our classic Britacake 🍓

We have also got in an amazing cheese delivery from our suppliers , so make sure to come try some!

Tables are open for booking for Thursday and Friday, but we going to be closed on Saturday to enjoy Midsummer with our friends and family.

Here is our Midsummer menu in all its glory 🌿🌞

Starting off with a choice of Midsummer classics, pickled herring with local new potatoes, and sweet heirloom tomatoes with our nettle pesto and ricotta.
For the main course we have pan fried perch, with an aromatic pastis butter sauce and pomme pure, topped with Marcona almond Gribiche.
For dessert we have made a rhubarb sorbet that we serve with a whipped Creme Anglaise flavored with Meadowsweet.

If you wish to enjoy these delicacies and their perfectly matched wine pairings, please book a table through our website to ensure availability.
You can also find our small bites menu above which we serve throughout the day.

Källarvinden will open its doors the 22.6, just in time for midsummer. And we will kickstart our season with an absolutely spectacular midsummer menu for you all.
We will be serving lunch and dinner the 22-23.6 and a long lunch the 24.6.

This summer will look a little different for Källarvinden. With a smaller team we are going to focus on what we do best, and serve delicious lunch and dinner from Thursday to Saturday. We are taking a step back from the cafe side of the business and putting more effort into making the food side even better.
But dont worry, we will still have Britacake and homemade ice cream on our menus.

Lunch will be served 12-15
Dinner will be served 17-19

We are going to be open Thursdays-Saturdays

Behold Dan the Lion!
This collaboration between Källarvinden, Kasnäs own harbormaster and Kimito brewing has resulted in a fresh floral lager, flavored with Dandelions and Honey sourced locally.
This thirst quencher is waiting chilled for you in Källarvinden (we open on thursday!) and in the harbormasters humble abode Satamakonttori.
The harbormaster will also sell you this beauty in his shop for takeaway, ready to be enjoyed across the islands of the archipelago this summer!

The sun has been shining, are you thinking about Midsummer?
We are.
On 25.6 we are very excited to welcome you to spend Midsummer day with us, at Källarvinden.
We are serving a beautiful set menu lunch, as well as an honestly fantastic winepairing with some real gems.
This lunch will have two sittings starting 11.30 and 14.00
