Why do people travel to Lapland between August and October? 🍂

Red and golden leaves, colourful forests and the Arctic fells.

The nights get dark for the first Northern Lights, sometimes reflected on the still-unfrozen lakes. Reindeer continue doing their thing in the middle of it all.

This is ruska, the Finnish word for the colourful autumn season in Lapland. Around Ivalo the colours are starting to reach their peak right now. 🧡
