The wait is almost over.

Something exciting is coming to Kallio. The name has changed, the doors are about to open, and the tandoor is already burning at the heart of it all.

Narayan’s is bringing authentic Indian dining to Helsinki. Bold flavours, live-fire cooking, and dishes crafted by Chef Narayan Rao, who has earned recognition abroad and is now bringing his passion and expertise to Finland.

The restaurant is ready. The journey is just beginning.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

To every single person who walked through our doors, shared a meal with us, brought friends, celebrated moments, or simply stopped by, thank you for making Olkkari what it became.

Olkkari closes its doors on May 31st. It is a big moment for us, but it is not a goodbye.

Something new and exciting is already underway, and I cannot wait to share it with you.

Very soon, I look forward to welcoming you as a dear guest in our new home.

At the end of May, Olkkari will close its doors. While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye, we are bursting with excitement for what comes next.

We have been pouring our hearts, souls, and a completely fresh vision into a brand-new project. This isn’t the end of our journey together. We are just moving on to a whole new adventure.

The exhibition “Remember when we played?” by Paloma Bautista Sánchez has now been extended until 31st of May at Olkkari.

Paloma is a Canary Islands–born architect and visual artist based in Finland since 2014. Her work moves between painting, mixed media and spatial design, exploring themes of belonging, memory and human connection through bold colour and thoughtful composition.

Her pieces create a balance between chaos and harmony, inviting viewers into imaginative and deeply personal worlds.

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the most important people in our lives – our mothers. Welcome to spend a warm and memorable Mother’s Day at Olkkari together with your loved ones.

We have prepared a special Mother’s Day menu, designed to be enjoyed at a relaxed pace in great company and a festive atmosphere. Treat your mother to a special day, gather around the table, enjoy good food, and raise a glass to all the wonderful mothers, while gentle live piano music from our grand piano adds to the atmosphere.

Olkkari is open on Mother’s Day from 11:00 to 19:00.
