Matcha Ink Painting Workshop #3 is OPEN!

Our first two matcha and japanese ink painting workshops were super popular and sold out quickly, so we are hosting a third one on 30.5 at Matcha Crew Showroom.

The workshop will start with a Japanese matcha ceremony where you will learn the technique of matcha whisking and make matcha ceremonially as usucha, and also as a latte. Then you can enjoy the latte while Japanese ink painting intructor Takuyo-san will help you create a ink painting to take home. The workshop will be held from 12:00-14:30 and costs €35 per person. APRIL RECAP!

Our busiest month this year so far and our birthday month, Matcha Crew turned 3 years old! 🇫🇮

1. We joint hosted our first ever PR event in Sweden with ice cream, a fellow Finnish brand
2. We presented our products at with our farmers all the way from Kagoshima Japan
3. We gave out 250 free matcha affogato for the launch of matcha strawberry ice cream in Helsinki

5. We held another Malaysian Kopitiam pop up as the first one sold out so quickly!
6 & 7. Held a Matcha Rave volume 2 with to launch our limited edition Churros Matcha latte
8. Held our first Japanese ink painting workshop with matcha ceremony, due to such high demand we will surely be hosting more

For our caffeine free crowd, or those that want an afternoon sweet treat!

We offer a range of caffeine free or very low caffeine drinks, such as our soda line which is a good alternative to the caffeinated matcha soda.

Hojicha is currently trending massively across Asia. It’s simply roasted green tea, with a nutty and almost chocolatey finish. Perfect with boba for a low caffeine sweet treat :)

Make your own Matcha bowl!

Ｗorkshop details: DM to book your spot.

This workshop lasts approximately 1.5–2 hours and offers a gentle introduction to working with porcelain through slip casting. No prior experience is needed. Max 6 participants

We begin with a short introduction to the slip casting process, especially for those who may be new to ceramics. Participants will then explore colour by selecting and combining different coloured slips to design their own matcha bowl.

The moulds used in this workshop are designed and developed by the studio, allowing each piece to carry a refined form and a strong sense of design. Rather than a typical workshop outcome, the final bowl feels closer to a thoughtfully designed object.

By layering liquid porcelain, soft gradients and subtle transitions emerge naturally, making each piece unique.

During the session, there will also be a short matcha moment, where you will learn how to whisk matcha and prepare a drink to enjoy during the workshop.

After casting, the final steps including assembling, glazing, and firing will be completed by the studio.

Finished pieces will be ready for collection at the studio approximately 4–6 weeks after the workshop.

The workshop fee is 100 euro/person and includes all materials, as well as glazing and firing.
