The cellar is small on purpose. Everything on that list has been drunk by somebody in this kitchen before it reached your table, and it was chosen to go with red prawns and octopus off the grill, not to look good on a shelf.

Two people, one porthole, and the Mediterranean doing the rest. 🦪

Oysters to start, scallops, salmon carpaccio, something chocolate at the end. The light goes down over the water while you are still deciding on dessert.

Ask for the table by the window when you book. It is the good one and we both know it.

The water is still warm. The terrace is still full of light. But the table by the porthole is free on a Friday, and the kitchen has time to talk to you about what came in this morning.

The flame goes on when the order comes in. The clay pot, the plancha, the rice, the flambé at the table. It takes as long as it takes, and that is the point.

Slow-cooked beef with its own sauce, a proper breaded escalope, a big salad with crisp chicken and shaved parmesan, ibérico cut to order.
