Well… it’s been a spicy couple of weeks involving various government agencies 👀

After 15 years, they’ve suddenly asked how it’s physically possible for me to produce the amount of cakes I do.

So naturally, I invited them round at 1am for a coffee and told them to bring an apron 😂

Anywayyyyy… my classification has changed—which is great in some ways. Turns out there are now things I’m allowed to make that were previously off-limits.

So I’ve been experimenting… and we now have rice flour cookies made with chia and psyllium husk (no xanthan gum in sight).
And honestly? They’re just as good as the wheat ones. No compromises, no sad “alternative” vibes.

I’ll be keeping these as a regular for… people who find the usual doesn’t quite agree with them… if you catch my drift 😉

Now, I am absolutely, definitely not allowed to use certain buzzwords (you know the ones), and they’re made in the same kitchen—so let’s all stay legally unproblematic here 😇

But it’s nice to finally have something for those of you who usually have to stand there watching everyone else eat my questionable creations 🤣

So yes… this is very much a nudge nudge, wink wink situation 😂

Next experiment: scones… also skipping the lactose.

Good morning,
Just a quick note to say we will be closed tomorrow. It's the quietest time of the year for us. But it's going to be warm and the air quality predicted to be bad, so not many cyclists. It's also difficult to control the rise on the croissant, cruffins and bread. So I'm coming in extra early for sunday. If anyone fancies a coffee I'll be here around midnight whilst it's cooler lol
I have been attempting to make new signs for the shop to meet the new regulations but I need to dedicate a day to getting them done 😘
We will be open again on Sunday as normal. See you then ❤️

Yes it's that time of year and I am making fresh hot cross buns each morning. Big, spicy and fluffy. If you'd like any made and reserved, just message before 9pm and I'll have them for you the following morning.

Good morning everyone. We've had a few days of problems with the coffee machine. It's been repaired twice and even changed for a new one. Guess what? It's still not functioning so another is on its way.
We will be open and functioning as normal on Thursday.

Coconut, pineapple, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, Coconut milk and a touch of chili. All cooled down with a Coconut buttercream ♥️
