We didn’t run because we were busy recovering from this epic wedding celebration! Months in the planning. Delivered in style!

Santa Marta Siesta Saturdays Six KM

The season continues to change. Looking back one month it is hard to comprehend that we were in the thick of August. Hot and humid. Now there is light at the end of the seasonal tunnel. A time where life becomes simpler and we can focus on family, friends, and a mild addiction to running 🙂

Nui Blau Beach Football - Anniversary Match (The 3rd Edition)

What can be said! It continues to be one of those random ideas. To arrange a match on the beach, for whomever wishes to partake, followed by b**r. Why? Not sure…but we’ve started it so we shall continue it!

About the match? Santa Marta vs The Rest of The World. Interestingly not a Spaniard in either team. 3 from England, 2 from Argentina, 2 Mexicans, a Portuguese, and Italian and a German. Sounds like the start of a joke, or a story of war. I guess in someways it was both 😂

A quick mention to the supporters! Fantastic from start to finish! And many Spaniards amongst that contingency. Sadly the same can’t be said about the refereeing. First half was random, second half took a bad turn and ended up all out awful 😂. 3 disallowed goals, VAR nowhere to be seen and the stopwatch seemed to have got lost.

Santa Marta trailed 2-1 until the last minute after leading the game early on. 2-2 seemed like a fair result for a very balanced, somewhat longer than expected match.

Thank you to all, and onto next year 💙🩵💙

Santa Marta Super Saturday Six

We’ve double in numbers since last week! And the weather is at the most enjoyable that it has been since June! It feels like the whole island takes in a breath as the summer season 26 starts to come to a close

The history of Santa Marta in 4 photos. Of the bay in 1969. Another of our captain, Toni, behind the bar in 1990. And the last two of our team when we took over in 2024 and another from last year. Pending this years photo to be installed.

We are more than just a restaurant business. We are not owned by business men or wealthy corporates. We are a business that has been in the family since the 80s, that we run with a lot of genuine love and care, and that we hope keeps providing a future for us and the generation that comes.

Santa Marta Super Saturday

The first as parents of a beautiful baby girl. Despite the disturbed sleep I still found a small window of opportunity to run with our oldest running companion. 6km to reflect on the significant change that has come about in the last week. The heart is absolutely full ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

El Dia de Santa Marta - 29.07.26

We take the opportunity of the 29th July to celebrate the name day of Santa Marta. The name, a constant reminder of our vision. To create a special place where customers and staff feel equally at home. Of course, the customer is always right, but the heart, DNA, soul and funk of any business is its team. Each moment is different from the last. It is a transient ecosystem. Constantly evolving and changing. What is today, may not be tomorrow. But for the sake of the moment in time, we stop and appreciate everyone on this day.

So to the team of 2026. You have our complete and unrepenting gratitude. You are Santa Marta and without you Santa Marta would not be.
