🇪🇸 Vino a hacer sus prácticas por 3 meses y ya lleva 11 años en Bodegas Pío del Ramo.
Este es Pedro, nuestro bodeguero, encargado de cuidar el vino desde que se vendimia hasta que sale embotellado.

🇬🇧 He came to do a 3 month internship and now he has been at Bodegas Pío del Ramo for 11 years.
This is Pedro, our winemaker. He takes care of the wine from the harvest until it is bottled.

🇬🇧 It is the exact moment when the grapes change colour. In red varieties, they change from green to purple.

🇬🇧 While white varieties evolve towards whiter and golden tones.

🇬🇧 This change in colour is one of the signs that winegrowers use to calculate the beginning of the harvest.

🇬🇧 And the curious thing is that this process is not uniform. Because even within the same bunch, there can be green, pink and purple tones.

🇬🇧 Veraison only lasts a few weeks, but at Bodegas Pio del Ramo we have spent generations cultivating every vineyard 100% organically to honour this moment.

🇪🇸 Independientes, selectivos y conscientes de su entorno. Así son los gatos y así hacemos nuestro Betola The Cat Wine Rosado.
Nace de uva Monastrell vendimiada a principios de septiembre. A partir de ahí, una fermentación lenta en frío nos permite quedarnos con lo mejor de cada aroma. Y un reposo de tres meses sobre lías deja que la naturaleza haga el resto.
El resultado es un vino rosado de color anaranjado con aromas de fresas silvestres, sigiloso al entrar e inolvidable después del primer sorbo.

🇬🇧 Independent, selective and aware of their surroundings. That’s how cats are, and that’s how we make our Betola The Cat Wine Rosado.

It is made from Monastrell grapes harvested at the beginning of September. From there, a slow, cold fermentation allows us to preserve the best of each aroma. And three months resting on lees lets nature do the rest.

The result is a rosé wine with an orange colour and aromas of wild strawberries, discreet when it first arrives and unforgettable after the first sip.

🇪🇸 🍇 Hoy empieza uno de los momentos más importantes del año en Pío Del Ramo.
Tras doce meses de dedicación en la viña, comenzamos la vendimia 2026. Y lo hacemos de noche para que la uva llegue fresca a la bodega, sobre los 10-15°C, lo que protege sus aromas y evita que fermente antes de tiempo.

Arrancamos esta temporada con nuestras variedades blancas: Chardonnay, Moscatel, Verdejo, Viognier y Malvasía, con las que somos pioneras dentro de la DOP Jumilla.

Así se hace un vino con carácter. Así lo hacemos en Pío Del Ramo.

🇬🇧 Today marks the beginning of one of the most important moments of the year at Pío del Ramo.
After twelve months of dedication in the vineyard, we begin the 2026 harvest. And we do it at night so that the grapes arrive fresh at the winery, at around 10–15°C, protecting their aromas and preventing them from fermenting too early.

We start this season with our white varieties: Chardonnay, Moscatel, Verdejo, Viognier and Malvasía, with which we are pioneers within the DOP Jumilla.

This is how a wine with character is made. This is how we do it at Pío del Ramo.

🇪🇸 Un gato nunca pide disculpas por husmear donde no debe.
Nuestro “Betola The Cat Wine Blanco” tampoco.
Nace en viñedos ecológicos, donde el Chardonnay y la Moscatel se cruzan para soltar toda la curiosidad que llevan dentro.
El resultado es un vino fresco, con notas de azahar, piña, y un final de lima que araña lo necesario para pedir otra copa.
Sírvelo bien frío con marisco, pescado azul o en cualquier sobremesa.
Porque como todo buen gato, este Betola tiene mucho más carácter del que parece a simple vista.

🇬🇧 A cat never apologises for snooping where it shouldn't.
Neither does our “Betola The Cat Wine Blanco”.
It comes from organic vineyards, where Chardonnay and Moscatel meet to unleash all the curiosity they carry within. The result is a fresh wine with notes of orange blossom, pineapple and a lime finish with just enough bite to make you ask for another glass.
Serve it well chilled with seafood, oily fish or during any after-dinner gathering.
Because, like every good cat, this Betola has far more character than it seems at first sight.
