Many of you will remember Betty, our little blackbird, who was found around three weeks ago on the golf course when she was only about a week old. After being spotted in the mouth of a magpie, her chances didn’t look great, but we stepped in and have been nursing her ever since.
We’re delighted to share that Betty is doing really well! This week she enjoyed her very first bird bath, which was a huge milestone. She’s still not quite ready to take to the skies and can’t fly just yet, but she’s growing stronger every day.
Betty has become quite the character and absolutely loves posing for selfies with anyone willing to stop and say hello! She’s also developed quite an appetite and is thoroughly enjoying her diet of fresh live mealworms.
Thank you to everyone who has asked about her and followed her journey so far. We’ll keep you updated as Betty continues to grow and, hopefully soon, prepares for her first flight! 🐦🖤
