Guess who’s back? 😂 My left tonsil cyst. Apparently once this year wasn’t enough.

After two cysts and five rounds of tonsillitis this year, my tonsils and I are very much in a toxic relationship. 😂 Eventually I'll have to take them out, but for now I’m having a very simple little procedure this week. No anaesthesia, no big surgery .. the doctor makes a tiny opening so the cyst can drain. Glamorous! 💅

It does mean I’ll have a small wound on my tonsil, so no singing for a few days while it heals. That’s why this week is a short one!

And thank you to everyone who has been asking how I’m doing. ❤️ My voice hasn’t been quite 100% lately, but I’ve still had such a lovely time sharing Amy’s music with you.

I’m also trying to change my mindset around these things. Health problems are frustrating, especially when your body is literally your instrument, but stressing about them certainly doesn’t make them disappear. So: deal with what needs dealing with, rest, be grateful to be here, and carry on.

My recovery plan currently consists of sleeping, doing absolutely nothing productive and going to Albir to buy unnecessarily expensive Belgian chocolate and eat it on the beach while defending it from a seagull. I think medically this is extremely sound. 😂

A huge thank you to everyone who packed the place out last night and made it another one to remember.

Jonathan Hawkins got the room warmed up and ready to go, before.. Heartbreaker
HEARTBREAKER took over and absolutely stormed that stage, carrying the party well into the wee hours.
