We are honored to recognize Arianne Bahala as one of the 100 Global Entrepreneurs for her contribution to promoting Filipino cuisine and culture in Spain. A Filipino entrepreneur based in Barcelona, she turned a challenging moment into an opportunity that would later become a meaningful culinary venture.
After the closure of her previous workplace, Arianne decided to pursue a long-held vision of opening a Filipino restaurant that would introduce authentic Filipino dishes in a warm and welcoming environment. Drawing from her studies in culinary and dining service, she and her business partner, who was also her former colleague, took the risk of starting Kasarap Filipino Kitchen in 2019.
Since opening in Barcelona, Kasarap Filipino Kitchen has become a space that celebrates Filipino flavors and hospitality, offering traditional dishes that connect both Filipinos abroad and international customers to the richness of Philippine cuisine.
Arianne Bahala is recognized for her entrepreneurial initiative, resilience, and commitment to sharing Filipino culture through food. Her journey reflects the courage to rebuild, create opportunities, and bring a sense of home to the community through authentic dining experiences.
