We hate to say this but we have to say it …
We have brought this up before and find it hard to address it during service… but here goes and we really hope you understand…
We are a small family business.. a very small one .. we cover our bills and manage to stay afloat ..
We do some amazing deals like our 6.95 special , Turkey and tinsel, and Sticky days .. to name but a few ..
We have some of the best customers anyone could wish for!
But again recently we have had to deal with some quite rude customers who feel it’s perfectly normal to say to staff
I don’t need a drink ive got water here with me .. or I brought the kids juice with me ..
We don’t need a menu we have brought food with us
It’s cheaper for a can of juice at the shop
This and more
When we put on entertainment it’s firstly and foremostly for us as a business to make money by enticing customers to us …secondly and almost equally as important is to give back to our great customers a fun filled day .. but we have to pay the entertainers , we have to pay for that wee p*e or poo you may deposit- as you see water , soap , lights, toilet roll , air freshener that all costs money
The ice , the glass ( we know some fall into handbags by accident ) the washing liquid , the water it costs money
The wonderful staff that serve you daily .. they get paid
The rent , the stock , the tax man .. they all cost money ..
So to be offended during a two or three hour session when staff ask you would you like another drink other than the one you purchased when you came in and to dismiss staff with a wave of your hand is not acceptable. That 2 euro btl of water whilst we turn away groups of people who want to join us for food is not acceptable.
If your offended - then we apologies for your lack of respect for a business just trying to survive!
