Torino, the capital city of the Italian reagion of Piemonte, is the city of chocolate. For exemple, in 1560, to celebrate the city as the new capital of the Savoy duchy, duke Filbert served a symbolic hot chocolate to baptize the city. A great tradition of chocolate developed through centuries. In fact, it is here that the solid chocolate as we know and eat it has been invented; the Gianduiotto: a
combination of hazelnut and dark chocolate, has also been the first paper-wrapped. Rich of this great tradition, Andrea and Giulia, two siblings from Torino, decided to bring some of the finest chocolate to København, opening the first shop in Gammel Kongevej, offering not just chocolate, but a great selection of the most traditional delicacies that the region offers: cookies, handmade ice-creams, spreads, candies, nougat, coffee and all the coffee-related possibilities, and much more. It is like this that the adventure of Sweet Giulia begins: from passion and tradition, to transmit and share them with you as much as we could.
