Mød Jeffrey McCammon Solstorm, digter, rapper og spoken word-kunstner, som har skrevet tekster i mere end tyve år og stod bag Poesi på Psykopaten. Nu tager han den åbne scene med til Bankeråt under et nyt navn: BARE ORD.

Her er ingen mikrofoner, kun ord og mennesker, der lytter. Du får tre minutter på scenen til poesi, spoken word, fortællinger eller sang på lige det sprog, du vil, og du er lige så velkommen, hvis du bare kommer for at lytte.

Meet Jeffrey McCammon Solstorm, poet, rapper and spoken word artist, who has been writing for more than twenty years and ran Poesi på Psykopaten. Now he’s bringing the open stage to Bankeråt under a new name: BARE ORD.

There are no microphones, just words and people who listen. You get three minutes on stage for poetry, spoken word, stories or song in whatever language you like, and you’re just as welcome if you only come to listen.

October’s dish of the month is Ankush’s Pumpkin Curry (95 kr) 🍂

It’s a big, warm bowl for the evenings that get dark far too early. Ankush slow-cooks roasted pumpkin and chickpeas with tomato, ginger, garlic, onion and his own spice blend until everything turns golden and soft. It’s gently spiced and never too hot. You can add chicken for 25 kr if you’d like it heartier.

Come in out of the cold and rain! Only in October 🧡

Trick or treat? We chose treat - and the treat is a bottomless drag brunch on Halloween with Miss Harry Koochie at Bankeråt. Because if you are going to spend the most dramatic day of the year somewhere, it might as well be here.

Miss Harry Koochie takes over Bankeråt on the most dramatic day of the year for a Halloween edition full of festive hosting, bubbly serving, and performances to match the occasion. Dress up, show up, and let someone else worry about the drinks.

Your ticket includes a brunch platter of your choice (vegan or carnivore), bottomless Bloody Marys for the full two hours, and a Halloween morning hosted by one of Copenhagen’s most beloved drag performers - with enough chaos and glamour to carry you straight into the rest of your Halloween plans.

Two new ways to lean into autumn at Bankeråt this month 🍂🎃 Our October Specials!

🍹First, the Scarecrow (95 kr). He’s spent the season watching over the fields, and now he’s come inside to warm up under the fairy lights. We built him with bourbon and Calvados, our own pumpkin spice syrup, chestnut liqueur, Bénédictine and Amaro Montenegro, then crowned him with chestnut foam and a pickled pumpkin flower. Served cold in an Irish coffee glass, spiced and sweet enough to make you forget it’s getting dark at 5pm.

🍰 Next to it, Grandma’s Autumn Cake (55 kr): a soft, buttery pumpkin cake with warm spices and a touch of orange, finished with a generous pour of chocolate sauce. It’s the cake that’s always waiting on the table once the leaves start turning.

Solstorm præsenterer BARE ORD Åben scene på Bankeråt

Kender du Poesi på Psykopaten? Så kender du ånden. Vi har fået nyt hjem på Bankeråt og nyt navn: BARE ORD. Samme fællesskab. Plads til nye stemmer.
Og har du aldrig været med før, glæder vi os til at møde dig.
Her er ingen mikrofoner eller højttalere. Vi kommer tættere på og lytter. Til poesi, spoken word, fortællinger, sang og alt det andet, du kan give liv med ord.
Har du skrevet noget derhjemme, så tag det med. Har du aldrig delt dine ord med et publikum før, er du også velkommen. Du får tre minutter, og Solstorm sørger for en blød landing, når du tager springet.
Du må også gerne komme bare for at lytte. Det er noget af det vigtigste, man kan bidrage med.
Alle sprog er velkomne. Dansk, engelsk, dit modersmål — ordene er dine.
Vært er digter, rapper og spoken word-kunstner Jeffrey McCammon Solstorm, som stod bag Poesi på Psykopaten. Han har skrevet tekster i mere end tyve år og debuterede med digtsamlingen Ud over afgrunden med åbne øjne. Nu inviterer han sammen med Bankeråt gamle kendinge og nye ansigter indenfor.

Nerds, you delivered. 🎮 Naming a colour in hex code, knowing a game soundtrack from the first second - those were the great minds battling at our last Pop Quiz!

At least a few people discovered their knowledge of gaming, fantasy and sci-fi has some very specific gaps - but the energy in the room more than made up for it. You are genuinely a wonderful crowd and we mean that!

Thank you to Juicy Lucy for hosting yet another night that managed to be chaotic, warm and completely nerdy all at once. 🖤

På grænsen mellem leg, udklædning og uhygge undersøger *IT’S HALLOWEEN AND I’M THE SUN* vores sindstilstand lige inden afgørelsens time.

Hvem er du, når du står i kostumet, men venter på at skulle ud på scenen?

Hvem er du, når du klæder dig ud som solen til Halloween? Eller når du er solen, men altid har maske på?

Kunstneren Ursula von Okkels leder dig i sin udstilling igennem et univers i et mellemstadie. Hun stiller eksistentielle spørgsmål til den barnlige sjæl, der genert mumler “slik eller ballade” i mødet med den voksne i døren. Hun spørger dig, om dit indre barn mon stadig står og venter på at skulle ud på den frygtindgydende scene.

Kom og leg med d. 2. oktober 2026 kl. 17:00-22:00 på Bankeråt.

At the boundary between play, dressing up, and eeriness, *IT’S HALLOWEEN AND I’M THE SUN* explores our state of mind just before the moment of truth.

Who are you when you are standing in costume, waiting to go on stage?Who are you when you dress up as the sun for Halloween? Or when you are the sun, but always wear a mask?

In her exhibition, artist Ursula von Okkels leads you through a universe in an in-between state. She poses existential questions to the childlike soul that shyly mumbles “trick or treat” when meeting the adult at the door. She asks you whether your inner child might still be standing there, waiting to step onto the frightening stage.

Come and play along on October 2nd 2026 from 5:00–10:00 PM at Bankeråt.
